History

Established in 2018.

Born and raised in Singapore, MKLX came to San Francisco to further pursue her tattooing career, found her following and with the help of some friends and her sister shop Castro Tattoo, her dream of creating a safe haven for anyone to get tattooed without feeling handled or mistreated, has come true. She and her crew of misfits seek to show the world what they are made of.

Growing up in Singapore, queer owner Millie understands how it feels to be looked down upon, belittled and judged. Entering the tattoo industry, obviously male-populated, she seeks to create a space where gender is null. A space where no one should feel less than what they are, and should walk out with more than what they were. With her team of straight, gay, bisexuals, she believes that tattooing is the art form in which binds us all as equals, and to provide top quality work in all styles catered to each individual client.
